I am a biologist with a MSc in Environmental Engineering and Management and since 2006 I worked in the Mosquito Control Service, a municipal mosquito control agency within the metropolitan area of Barcelona (Catalonia). During that period, I coordinated different tasks such as mosquito population monitoring, treatments in public spaces, citizen education and entomological inspections in cases of arbovirus infections (Dengue, Zika, Chikungunya and West Nile Virus) within the province of Barcelona. In 2018, I started to work as a Project Manager in the Department of Zoology at the University of Oxford, where I have been coordinating the logistic, financial and administrative aspects of HumBug project, writing grant proposals and managing HumBug website and social media accounts. My interests lie on applied Zoology and the effects of Environmental change on human wellbeing.
