Oxford Long-Term Ecology Lab

Long-Term Ecology, Biodiversity Conservation, and Environmental Stewardship Technologies

Dr. Meredith Root-Bernstein is a postdoc in the School for Geography and the Environment.  She researches interdisciplinary approaches to conservation and restoration in mediterranean-climate habitats.  She currently has two major projects: reintroduction of guanacos as a natural restoration tool in the central Chilean “espinal” silvopastoral system; and multifunctional wetland conservation in the Po Delta, Italy.

In 2014 she will move to Aarhus University, Denmark, where she will continue these long-term projects.
