This research has produced the first direct evidence of the foraging behaviour of the bumblebee species Bombus pomorum (Panzer, 1805) that went extinct from the British Isles in the mid-nineteenth century from the analysis of pollen preserved on the hairs of the three surviving British museum specimens.
