Museum specimen of Bombus pomorum (male)

Description

This research has produced the first direct evidence of the foraging behaviour of the bumblebee species Bombus pomorum (Panzer, 1805) that went extinct from the British Isles in the mid-nineteenth century from the analysis of pollen preserved on the hairs of the three surviving British museum specimens.
