Oxford Long-Term Ecology Lab

Long-Term Ecology, Biodiversity Conservation, and Environmental Stewardship Technologies

I am investigating how ground level ozone exposure affects tree health and growth. This project is in partnership with Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, and Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. We are using a combination of satellite data, UAV spectroscopy and individual tree physiology to understand how ozone damage scales from local to global vegetation. I am particularly interested in the use of long-term records, such as dendrology, to understand how vegetation responds over time to changing environments -using the past to look forward.
